SIR HENRY was slow losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. MR BOND jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride. Jockey Orffer reported that MR BOND made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. In view of the performance from SIR HENRY, which trailed the field, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding and submit a report. Jockey Domeyer reported that SUIT OF LIGHTS did not stride out freely in running. ROBERTSON took an awkward stride at about the 1200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding and submit a report. KWASSA KWASSA shifted out away from the crop at about the 300m and carried SUIT OF LIGHTS and CHESTER'S WISH outwards. KWASSA KWASSA was immediately straightened. FIFTY CENTS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: MR BOND - returned choked up. SIR HENRY and SUIT OF LIGHTS - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. ROBERTSON - returned not striding out. Scratched: LANE FROST - bruised right fore joint.
