DUKE THE DUKE (AUS) commenced to hang out at about the 800m, which resulted in the bit being pulled through the colt's mouth and it raced wide into the straight, thereafter the colt was difficult to assist. The bridle on this colt was inspected post race and was found to be in good order. CECIL JOHN became awkwardly placed at about the 50m on the heels of MOUNT FUJI, which was hanging out and rolled out slightly. ARGUN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: DUKE THE DUKE (AUS) - returned with the bit pulled through its mouth. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
