BLUNDERBUSS was difficult to load. PENTELIKO and THE GINGERMAN were slow into stride. UNBELIEVABLE CHAD was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the Starter's report concerning BLUNDERBUSS, this colt's starting stall certificate is withdrawn until re-passed tractable with a companion. JABUTICABA and PENTELIKO raced green. BANK THE CASH raced green, became cramped on the inside running rail for a number of strides at approximately the 1000 metre mark. Jockey Sturgeon reported that CAPRIVI making an abnormal respiratory noise post race. KOLINSKY (NZ), changing legs, shifted in sharply at approximately the 200 metre mark, carrying BLUNDERBUSS inwards for a number of strides. A race review was called by a Stipendiary Steward with regard to the above incident, which was followed by an objection that was lodged by Jockey Kennedy, the rider of BLUNDERNESS, placed fourth against the third placed horse, KOLINSKY (NZ), on the grounds of taking him off a straight course in the latter stages. After hearing the evidence and viewing the patrol video, the Board was of the opinion that but for the interference, BLUNDERBUSS would have beaten KOLINSKY (NZ) and therefore upheld the Objection and amended the Judge's result.
