Jockey Appie (transport problems), Jockey Dean (to be investigated) Jockey Naude (transport problems) and Jockey Zechner (to be investigated) did not ride at today's race meeting. They were replaced on their mounts. DUKE FLIES, THE NGWAZI and COUNTING AFRESH were slow into stride. RICH APPROVAL and MINI BEAR came together shortly after the start and bumped. Jockey Pheiffer reported that COUNTING AFRESH was not striding out freely in running and did not persevere with his ride from the 800m. DUKE FLIES was hanging in from the 400m. Jockey Pretorius reported that BRIDGEBUILDER was not striding out freely in running and did not persevere with his ride from the 400m. In view of the performance from KEEF KHA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. RICH APPROVAL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. PONOKA raced equipped with a tongue tie. RICH APPROVAL raced in Club colours with the Stewards permission. THE NGWAZI raced equipped with alumite shoes. MINI BEAR raced equipped with alumite shoes in front, unshod behind. BATTLE CHIEF raced equipped with a tongue tie. Vet: KEEF KHA - lame right front.
