MOGOK'S DESIRE jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. GASOLINE (AUS) took an awkward stride at the 150m and thereafter was hanging out in the concluding stages. ISPHAN was carried out slightly in the concluding stages by BAD BOY BUDDY BOY. In view of the performance of ISPHAN, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. When questioned regarding his ride on ISPHAN, Jockey Strydom explained to the board that he had been carried out and awkwardly placed on the outside of BAD BOY BUDDY BOY in the concluding stages. He further explained that in his opinion ISPHAN had not been suited by the fast track conditions and was probably a better horse on the sand. His explanation was noted. SPLENDID GARDEN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: SARVE - not striding out right front. ISPHAN - examined post race, nothing obvious detected.
