Jockey Fortune reported he felt something amiss with AMARILLO STARLIGHT in the running and did not persevere over the final 200 metres. JAY'S FAVOUR shifted outwards away from the crop passing the 200 metre mark carried IMPERIAL FABERGE outwards, who was forced to ease for several strides. Jockey Andrews signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to IMPERIAL FABERGE whilst riding JAY'S FAVOUR passing the 200 metre mark. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. Jockey Ndlovu reported KANARA was not striding out freely in the running. Jockey Khumalo reported that POLAR TRIP made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. Jockey Cheyne reported he felt something amiss with IMPERIAL FABERGE in the latter stages. TYPHOON TESS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: AMARILLO STARLIGHT - speedy cut left hind outside pastern. IMPERIAL FABERGE - not striding out left fore. TYPHOON TESS - speedy cut inner left hind pastern. KANARA - checked post race, nothing obvious detected. POLAR TRIP - choked up post race.
