Jockey Strydom reported that he felt something amiss with GALLILEE in running. When questioned regarding his ride on GALLILEE, Jockey Strydom explained to the Board that this filly had come off the bit and was under pressure a long way from home and that shortly before the finish line, he felt something amiss with this filly and eased her out of the race. The Stipendiary Board adjourned to review and further investigate this ride. Trainer Azzie was requested to report back on the condition of this filly on return to stables. Apprentice Zackey reported that TIGER FLAME (AUS) did not stride out freely in running. Jockey Zechner reported that STAR OF LOVE changed stride continually in running. Jockey Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with SOLDIER GIRL in running. CASSIE O'MALLEY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: GALLILEE, STAR OF LOVE and SOLDIER GIRL - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. TIGER FLAME (AUS) - lame left front. SISTERS OF MERCY - abnormal respiratory noise.
