The start of this Race was delayed due to the withdrawal TRIP KINGS and TIGER'S LEGACY. TRIP KINGS was restless and reared in the stalls. The starting stalls certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn and is suspended for a period of 7 days and until recertified tractable. TIGER'S LEGACY was restless in the stalls and injured itself. The Starter and the Stipendiary Board, after reviewing the film of the start of this race, were of the opinion that TRIP KINGS' behaviour had resulted in TIGER'S LEGACY being restless and in view of this decided not to take action against TIGER'S LEGACY. ANGEL GABRIEL lost 1 length. In view of the performance from JUST AFRICA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. CANNES had to ease momentarily at approximately the 300m off the heels of LAW ENFORCER, which was carried in marginally by PROUD AS PUNCH. FLEETFOOT MAC was hanging in from the 300m. LA TASCA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Fortune signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention in that he failed to inform the Stipendiary Board immediately he became aware that he was unable to fulfil his riding engagement/s. Vet: JUST AFRICA - abnormal respiratory noise. NEWS FLASH - coughing. Scratched: TIGER'S LEGACY and TRIP KINGS - injured in pens. KOPI LUWAK - insufficient recovery time. ALEUT - under 12 days' suspension. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
