EN ROUTE was nervous in the stalls. SEATTLE SWING was nervous in the stalls and kicked the back gate. Apprentice Thabana reported that HUNTER VALLEY made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. Jockey Ndlovu reported that FORLAN shortened his stride and changed legs in the closing stages. VALMODE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: WESTERN WONDER - abnormal respiratory noise. FORLAN - not striding out both fore. HUNTER VALLEY - not striding out. Scratched: SPECTACULAR JET - no suitable jockey available. The Course Farrier on duty reported that the shoes of all the runners engaged at today's race meeting were checked and confirmed with the rules. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
