The start of this race was delayed due to KINGOFMOUNTAIN crashing the front gate open whilst the horses were being loaded, the rest of the gates subsequently opened prematurely and a false start was called by the Starter. The horses were restrained at approximately the 200m, returned to the start, checked by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. KINGOFMOUNTAIN intractable in the stalls. The Starting Stall Certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. He was suspended for a period of seven days until recertified tractable. TRIPTOTHESTARS was slow losing four lengths. Trainer Visser was advised to re-school this gelding prior to its next engagement. JACK FRIDAY had to steady at approximately the 250m off the heels of RAINBOW ARROW which ducked out sharply. Jockey Fortune reported that LATINO'S JET did not stride out freely in running. IL PALIO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: LATINO'S JET - lame left front tendon. Indefinite suspension for a full veterinary report and gallop. Scratched: INDIAN RIVER - not striding out right front.
