PERFECT END (AUS) was difficult to load. Stable Employee Mtwesi was advised to re-school this gelding prior to its next engagement. TRIPLE BEAT was difficult to settle in the early stages. Jockey Khumalo reported that TRIPLE BEAT did not stride out freely in running. GENTLEMAN JACK was hanging in, in the concluding stages. COLONEL ROCKJAW was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: CASHMERE KID - lame left front. TRIPLE BEAT - abnormal respiratory noise and not striding out right front. Scratched: MOOGHAMIR (AUS) - respiratory disease. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
