Jockey Devoy did not ride in today's race meeting due to being medically indisposed. Jockey Khathi did not ride in today's race meeting due to family responsibilities. Race 6 the distance was changed to 1400M. BANTRY BAY stood awkwardly in the stalls. ELEGANT ELLE was slow away and lost 1 length. Jockey Andrews reported that FLIGHTOFTHEFALCON was not striding out freely in the running. JOLENE shifted out passing the 300 metre mark and made contact with ROSEYBURG. BETTER THAN EVER shifted outwards passing the 250 metre mark and JACARANDA FLOWER eased off the heels of BETTER THAN EVER for two strides. ZEN AND NOW was carried outwards from this movement. Apprentice Ramsamy was brought before the Board and shown the patrol film of this incident and advised to take more care when shifting ground in future. ROUGE BERRY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: ROUGE BERRY - spread left fore shoe. FLIGHTOFTHEFALCON - cast left fore shoe and speedy cut left hind fetlock, short left fore.
