Jockey Fortune (medically indisposed) and Apprentice Storey (medically indisposed) did not ride at today's race meeting. They were replaced on their mounts. Jockey Mansour, due to flight complications, was unable to ride in Races 9 and 10. He was replaced on those mounts. The start of this Race was delayed due to mechanical problems being experienced with the on-course ambulance prior to the start of this race. The start was further delayed when RACEY J cast its right front shoe, which was attended to by the Course Farrier. RACEY J and URSULA were restless in the stalls. FINDING ALICE was stubborn loading. HEAVEN ON EARTH lost 3 lengths. Workrider Sithetho appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol film of the race and signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that he failed to keep his mount, GLOBAL ETHOS, on a straight course parallel to the running rail and relative to the draw position until a point not less than 200 metres from the start. A Warning was imposed. LILLIPUTIAN ducked in sharply at the 1100m, and thereafter shifted out away from the crop from the 400m. A WOMAN'S WILL had to steady at the 400m off the heels of CAROLE BOUQUET, which shifted in to continue its run. Workrider Semela, the rider of CAROLE BOUQUET, appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol film of the race and advised to take more care when shifting ground in future. FINDING ALICE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: HEAVEN ON EARTH - coughing. FINDING ALICE and URSULA - abnormal respiratory noise. POCAHONTAS GIRL - speedy cut left hind.
