THE START WAS DELAYED DUE TO COURT JESTER PROVING STUBBORN LOADING. SPOOKY (D De Gouveia) and ZIG ZAG (C Habib) were slow losing one length. COURT JESTER (D L Habib) was stubborn loading. Trainers M/A Azzie to be advised to reschool this gelding prior to his next engagement (GT). UKUBIZA (D Schwarz) was stubborn loading. Trainer E Verdonese was advised to reschool this gelding prior to his next engagement (GT). Jockey S Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with RAMPAGE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. At approximately the 800 RAMPAGE (S Khumalo) was brushed out by THE GYPSY KING (*L J Ferraris) which rolled out. ZIG ZAG (C Habib) hung in from the 300m. ZIG ZAG (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
