Jockey Khathi did not ride in today's race meeting due to being medically indisposed. ROCKING DONNA was nervous in the stalls, jumped awkwardly, was slow away and lost 2 lengths. JACARANDA FLOWER was slow away and lost 1 length. MAGIC AMEERAH steadied off the heels of IDEAL COUNTESS passing the 600 metre mark on the turn. MISS ORACY brushed the inside running rail on the turn entering the home straight and became unbalanced for two strides. Jockey Ndlovu reported that he felt something amiss with HASTY KITTEN in the running. WINTER ROSE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Greeff was questioned regarding the improved performance of this filly compared to her previous race on the 9th October 2015. He explained that this was this filly's second run for the stable and a change in her work program may have accounted for her improved performance. The Board noted this explanation. Vet: JACARANDA FLOWER - coughed post race. MAGIC AMEERAH - speedy cut left hind. HASTY KITTEN - not striding out. MISS ORACY - lame left fore.
