AVAIL reared in the stalls. Trainer Kannemeyer will be advised to have this colt re-schooled before its next engagement. BURNING ASEGAAI was slow into stride Jockey Africa reported that he felt something amiss with BURNING ASEGAAI in running. In view of the performances from PYGMALION, and NO REPRIEVE, which changed stride continually in the straight, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses and submit a report. ALDABARA RUN steadied at about the 400m off the heels of BAKSTEEN, which switched out to continue his run. ONE AWAY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Cormack rode AVAIL. The Club's Medical Officer stood down Jockey Behr for the remainder of the day on medical grounds. Vet: PYGMALION and NO REPRIEVE - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. BURNING ASEGAAI - returned not striding out behind. Scratched: RIVER BLAZE - infected left fore joint.
