MISS WALES was restless in the stalls. GREAT DREAM, EWAN AGAIN and SPRING DANCE (AUS) lost one length. CAPTAIN MAROONED jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. Shortly after the start CAPTAIN MAROONED was carried out by SAO PAULO, which was carried out by AMERICAN CHILL, which jumped outwards. EWAN AGAIN was hanging in from the 400m. ROZARIO was hanging in from the 200m. SAO PAULO was hanging in throughout. Jockey Zechner reported that GREAT DREAM choked up in the running. Jockey Marwing, the rider of SPRING DANCE (AUS), appeared before the Board and was reminded of his obligation to make factual reports with regard to anything which may affect the performance of his horse in a race. SPRING DANCE (AUS) was bumped inwards at approximately the 100m by FIRST SIGN, which shifted out away from the crop. Jockey van der Merwe was charged with a contravention in that he, as the rider of FIRST SIGN, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to SPRING DANCE (AUS) when he shifted out at the 100m. Jockey van der Merwe signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended from riding in races for a period of seven days. Jockey Maujean was charged with a contravention in that he failed to ride the horse AMAZING VAR out to the end of the race. Jockey Maujean signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of was imposed. TAHINI and ROCK ON were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Due to a change of Ownership, the Ownership of FIRST SIGN should read: Mr A G O'Connor & Eclipse Racing & Breeding CC; and the Colours are: peacock blue, peacock blue and burgundy hooped sleeves, peacock blue cap. EWAN AGAIN raced with a tongue tie on. AMAZING VAR raced equipped with an alumite bar shoe on the left front. Vet: GREAT DREAM - no respiratory noise detected post race. STREET AFFAIR - speedy cut right hind.
