THE STONE THROWER, which jumped awkwardly losing two lengths, dropped its' head down in the stalls and dislodged the rider, which resulted in the bridle, and the blinkers coming off the gelding and had to be refitted, causing a delay. STAR CHESTNUT and GROEN GEVAARTE were restless in the stalls. SYLVESTER THE CAT shifted out at about the 350m, which resulted in LIGHT THE LIGHTS being awkwardly placed on the heels of SYLVESTER THE CAT and had to ease. ERNIE shifted inwards at about the 50m and carried GROEN GEVAARTE inwards, which resulted in GROEN GEVAARTE, SYLVESTER THE CAT and COSMIC CODE being tightened for galloping room and having to ease. ERNIE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
