AVAIL was restless in the stalls. KISS ME NOW shifted out sharply away from the crop in the concluding stages. JK CASANOVA raced wide throughout and compounded at the 700m. When questioned regarding the improved performance from ACCOUNTABILITY today, compared to the gelding's previous race on 21/10/2015 at Durbanville Racecourse run over 1600m, Assistant Trainer Donnelly, who acted on behalf of Trainer Crawford, told the Stewards that in its previous race the gelding had raced too keenly. Today the rider was instructed to tuck the gelding in and as a result he ran on strongly. The Board noted his explanation and drew his attention to the Rule pertaining to In and Out running. KISS ME NOW was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: STORMY CITY (ARG) - returned suffering from an Epistaxis and was suspended for a period of 60 days.
