Jockey Marwing did not ride at today's race meeting. He was replaced on his mounts. The start of this Race was delayed due to the withdrawal of BLACKADDER and KANKONKOP, which subsequently bolted the course. KANONKOP was restless in the stalls, broke through the front gate and bolted. The starting stalls certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn and it was suspended for a period of 7 days and until recertified tractable. SHADY WORLD lost 1 length. PERA HUR steadied off the heels of LE CLOS, which shifted in marginally leaving the 400m. GREAT WHITE FLEET was hanging in from the 300m. Workrider Siphika appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol film of the race and advised against the practice of using his crop with excessive frequency. MIDNIGHT RACER shifted in away from the crop in the concluding stages. LE CLOS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Workrider Semela appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol film of the race and advised to take more care when shifting ground in future, and also against the practice of using his crop with excessive frequency. KANONKOP and MIDNIGHT RACER are geldings. SHADY WORLD raced equipped with alumite shoes in front, unshod behind. Vet: LE CLOS - abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: BLACKADDER - not striding out right front. KANONKOP - injured in pens.
