VIKING CASTLE broke open the front gate, but was restrained by the handler. The gate was reset. MOVIE MAN and LIMITED EDITION lost 1 length. KUNUNATA and ARKANSAS were difficult to settle in the early and middle stages. Jockey Lerena, the rider of RUSHING LARK, had his crop accidentally struck from his hand at approximately the 300m. Apprentice de Gouveia reported that SON OF APPROVAL did not stride out freely in running. TOM FOOL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: SON OF APPROVAL - examined post race, no significant findings. Scratched: BEE KEEPER - abnormal temperature. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed. Several Jockeys and Apprentices were selected for breathalyser tests and the taking of urine samples for analysis.
