VICTORIOUS ANGEL was nervous in the stalls. PATENT OF NOBILITY was slow away and lost 3 lengths. JOY OF HOPE threw its head up at the start, was slow away and lost 5 lengths. In view of the Starter's report, JOY OF HOPE is to be re-schooled in the starting stalls "to jump on terms" prior to racing again. VICTORIOUS ANGEL eased, shifted inwards off the heels of RUBY DUCHESS shortly after the start and made contact with QUICK STEP ROSIE. JOY OF HOPE was baulked for a clear run between the 500 metre and 400 metre marks. JAM TART (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: QUICK STEP ROSIE - cast the right hind shoe. Scratched: SHAKI - under medication. The Course Farrier on duty reported that the shoes of all the runners engaged at today's race meeting were checked and confirmed with the rules. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
