Due to soft underfoot conditions and a further forecast for more rain, Races 1 and 2 were run on the polytrack. CLASH OF KINGS, HANJI, ROY'S EXPRESS and TRINITY HALL all lost 1 length. Y'RETHEONE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Y'RETHEONE shifted in near the 800 metre mark resulting in ASTROMAN having to be eased and thereafter clipping the heels of Y'RETHEONE and stumbling. An Inquiry will be held into this incident. An Objection was lodged by Jockey Sturgeon, rider of the second placed horse, ASTROMAN, against the winner, Y'RETHEONE, on the grounds of interference at approximately the 800 metre mark. The Objection Board after hearing all the evidence, considering the interference and the Distance of 2 A? lengths between the two horses at the finish, over-ruled the Objection, refunded the deposit and allowed the Judge's result to stand. CHUFFED and TRINITY HALL both raced green. CLASH OF KINGS raced green and was hanging out in the latter stages. CAPTAIN'S FLIGHT was hanging in throughout. Jockey Jupp reported that ROY'S DYNAMITE took no interest in running. CHUFFED raced with alumites on and not steel shoes as carded. Vet: ROY'S DYNAMITE - not striding out right fore. TRINITY HALL - coughing. Y'RETHEONE - Epistaxis, 60 day suspension imposed. Scratched: STARCRAFT PRINCE (AUS) and ZINZARA (AUS) - Stipes Permission due to change of surface.
