Jockey Lerena (medically indisposed), Jockey Little (personal commitments) and Jockey Sturgeon (medically indisposed) did not ride at today's race meeting. They were replaced on their mounts. OVER IT was stubborn loading. Trainer Mayhew was advised to re-school this filly prior to its next engagement. ROSE WATER was restless in the stalls. An automatic fine, which was confirmed by the Stipendiary Board, was imposed on Jockey Habib for committing a misdemeanour at the start. ASIAN BABE cast its left front shoe in running. ETERNAL FIRE was hanging out from the 400m. FOR SHOW ME ANGEL switched out at the 300m to continue its run. RIBBONOFMOONLIGHT was cramped for galloping room leaving the 400m and had to ease for a number of strides when carried in by WINTER BREEZE, which was carried in by LADY STARLETT, which shifted in. Thereafter at approximately the 100m PIPPI SHORTSOCK was awkwardly placed on the inside of WINTER BREEZE, which was carried in by LADY STARLETT. A race review was called by a member of the Stipendiary Board, which was followed by him lodging an objection on behalf of the fifth placed horse, RIBBONOFMOONLIGHT, against the fourth placed horse, WINTER BREEZE, on the grounds of interference at approximately the 300m. This was followed by Jockey Strydom, the rider of WINTER BREEZE (placed fourth), lodging an objection against the third placed horse, LADY STARLETT, on the grounds of interference between the 300m and the 200m. The Objection Board, after giving regard to the evidence put forward by the connections and reviewing the patrol films of the race, were of the opinion that WINTER BREEZE would not have finished in front of LADY STARLETT and therefore overruled the objection lodged by Jockey Strydom. Jockey Strydom's deposit was refunded. The Objection Board could not be reasonably satisfied that RIBBONOFMOONLIGHT would have finished in front of WINTER BREEZE and therefore overruled the objection lodged by the Stipendiary Steward. The judges' result stands. Jockey Wrogemann signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that he, as the rider of LADY STARLETT, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to PIPPI SHORTSOCK, RIBBONOFMOONLIGHT and WINTER BREEZE when he shifted in between the 300m and the 200m. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of 10 days. OVER IT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. LA FEMME NIKITA raced in Club colours with the Stewards permission. JUSTADREAM raced unshod. Vet: ETERNAL FIRE - abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: BALLY SWISS - insufficient recovery time.
