Due to a water logged track, and a penetrometer reading of 31, all races will be run on the polytrack. Race 7 distance is now 2000 metres. Jockey Sturgeon did not ride at today's race meeting (medically indisposed). Apprentice Mxothwa did not ride at today's race meeting (medically indisposed). The Medical Officer reported that Jockey Randolph was reassessed today and fit to ride. POSITIVO and TROPICAL'S SON were both slow into stride. BLACK SAMURAI lost 1 length. MASTER SAM was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. HOT CHILLI over-raced and was difficult to restrain and as a result GORDON'S CUNGEE (AUS) had to ease off the heels of HOT CHILLI at approximately the 800 metre mark. HOT CHILLI was hanging in, in the latter stages. TROPICAL'S SON raced green and raced wide on the bend and into the straight. LE GRAY raced with his tongue tied down. MASTER SAM is a gelding and not a colt as carded. Scratched: GLOBAL FLYER (NZ) - Urticaria. PICHICHI - elevated temperature.
