OLIM DIVES was nervous in the stalls. SKY FULL OF STARS flyjumped, slow away and lost 2 lengths. MILKEN pulled hard in the early stages. KEAGAN'S JET compounded entering the home straight, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. EMBLEM HONOUR (AUS) raced into a tight gap between OH SO MODUS and MILKEN and became cramped for galloping room and was forced inwards carrying MILKEN inwards. A race review was called by the Stipendiary Board into this incident, the Stipendiary Board and Trainer Laing viewed the patrol films of the race and a decision was made to take no further action. SKY FULL OF STARS switched in for a clear run made contact and carried SOCIETY ROCK inwards, this is turn resulted in OLIM DIVES having to check severely and lose position. Jockey Zechner signed an Admission of Guilt for the contravention in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to SOCIETY ROCK and OLIM DIVES passing the 200 metre mark whilst riding SKY FULL OF STARS. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. Jockey Ndlovu reported that SPEKBOOM was not striding out freely in the running. OH SO MODUS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: BIG FREEZE - blood in mouth. SPEKBOOM - checked post race, nothing obvious detected. KEAGAN'S JET - bilateral epistaxis, 60 day suspension. TIME SHARE - speedy cut right hind inner pastern. The Course Farrier on duty reported that the shoes of all the runners engaged at today's race meeting were checked and confirmed with the rules. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
