ELUSIVE ROSE and MOM'S THE WORD were slow into stride. JUDITH ANNE was slow losing one length. Jockey Andrews was charged with a contravention in he rode the horse JUDITH ANNE in an unprofessional manner by dropping his crop at the 150m. Jockey Andrews signed an Admission of Guilt for the penalty of a Warning. Jockey Cormack reported that WINGERED did not stride out freely in running. In view of the performance from MOM'S THE WORD, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly and submit a report. SUPERCILIOUS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Cormack rode WINGERED. This change was made in due time with Stewards permission and with the mutual consent of all the connections. Jockey Puller rode ISTAS. The Club's Medical Officer stood down Jockey van Niekerk on medical grounds. Vet: MOM'S THE WORD - inspected post race and no significant findings were detected. WINGERED - returned coughing. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure. Several Jockeys and Apprentices were selected for the taking of breathalyser tests and urine samples for analysis.
