MISTER MATCHETT jumped awkwardly losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. JET EXPLORER jumped awkwardly with its head up losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. ASSTAR, CHARLES LYTTON and DOOR OF DECEPTION were hanging out from the 300m. In view of the performance from OLYMPIAN, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the colt and submit a report. Jockey Delpech reported that SILVER SALVER made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. Jockey Andrews reported that ALBARAKAH did not stride out freely in running. In view of the report from the Veterinary Surgeon regarding ALBARAKAH, Trainer Kotzen has been advised that he will be required to notify the Stipendiary Board when he next enters ALBARAKAH in order that the Stipendiary Board and a nominated Veterinary Surgeon, may pass her fit to race. CAPTAIN ALFREDO and ERNIE were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Khathi rode EQUITY KICKER. This change was made in due time with Stewards permission and with the mutual consent of all the connections. Jockey du Plooy rode JET EXPLORER. This change was made in due time with Stewards permission and the mutual agreement of all the connections. Vet: OLYMPIAN - returned not striding out. SILVER SALVER - inspected post race and no significant findings could be detected. ALBARAKAH - returned not striding out. JET EXPLORER - returned in mild post race distress.
