WONDERFUL ROCK (D Schwarz), CHARMING LASS (D L Habib), DORO MODEL (*K Matsunyane) and PRINCESS ZENA (D De Gouveia) were slow losing one length. ROCCO'S MAMMA (R Simons) was stubborn loading. Trainer E Verdonese was advised to re-school this filly prior to her next engagement (LAS). ANATURA (P Strydom) hung out from the 300m. Jockey S Khumalo (ON BROADWAY) and Apprentice K Matsunyane (DORO MODEL) reported that they felt something amiss with their respective mounts in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. Jockey D De Gouveia reported that he felt something amiss with PRINCESS ZENA in running and did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey C Maujean reported that he felt something amiss with LILLIPUT in running and did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. WONDERFUL ROCK (D Schwarz) hung out in the concluding stages. TEMENEE (*L J Ferraris), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer E Lerena advised (RH). WONDERFUL ROCK raced equipped with blinkers (declared 17 July 2020 at 08H13). VET: ON BROADWAY examined post race, nothing obvious detected. DORO MODEL mild post race distress and speedy cut right front. LILLIPUT fatigued. PRINCESS ZENA coughing post race. SCRATCHED: TEQUILA, BURNT JASPER and VENUS FLYTRAP reserve runners. Advised 21 July 2020 at 08H17. DELIGHTFILLY incorrectly equipped (presented to race in a full set of alumites as opposed to a half set as declared).
