LONELY NIGHT (*J R Syster) was slow losing one length. In view of the performance of CURVATION (P Strydom) (distance 4,25 lengths, betting 18/10), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer W H Marwing was issued with an Admission of Guilt for a contravention of Rule 39.7.5, in that he failed to vaccinate the horse CURVATION against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Stable Employee Warrick Marwing signed the Admission of Guilt and a fine of R1000 was imposed. KAYLA'S DREAM (B Nyawo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Cason advised (LA). Jockey Nyawo signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he struck the horse KAYLA'S DREAM more than twelve times in the entire race. A penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. When assessing the penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of times he struck the horse (15), and the fact that he won the race. WESTWING BELTER raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind (declared 15 July 2020 at 15H15). LADY SECRET raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind (declared 15 July 2020 at 15H17) and raced equipped with blinkers (declared 21 July 20H20 at 07H58). VET: CURVATION coughing.
