MAGIC ICE jumped awkwardly losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. BRAAISTIN jumped inwards and bumped SHALL BE FREE, which made contact with ELUSIVE SILVA . Jockey Mansour reported that DUE WEST did not stride out freely in running, and as a result did not preserve with his riding from the 200m. In view of the performance from EL CLASICO, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. Jockey Fayd'Herbe, the rider of ELUSIVE SILVA, became momentarily unbalanced when bumped by SHALL BE FREE shortly after the start. BRAAISTIN was hanging in and difficult to assist in the latter stages. ELUSIVE SILVA was hanging in in the latter stages. OLYMPIC POWER raced green. WHITLEY WILLOWS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: DUE WEST - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. EL CLASICO - returned not striding out behind. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure. Several Jockeys were selected for the taking of breathalyser tests and urine samples for analysis.
