The start of the 5th Race was slightly delayed as a result of a section of the running rail having to be checked and secured. BEEWITHMEE, SUPERCEDE and WORSHIP DANCER were all slow into stride. GREAT RUMPUS and SERISSA were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the performances of BEEWITHMEE and KENTUCKY GUEST, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. PIONEER SPIRIT was not persevered with in the latter stages. KENTUCKY GUEST and SERISSA returned post race having cast the left fore shoe. WORSHIP DANCER returned post racing having cast the right fore shoe. Vet: BEEWITHMEE, PIONEER SPIRIT and KENTUCKY GUEST - nothing obvious detected. SERISSA - abnormal respiratory noise. WORSHIP DANCER - lame right fore.
