POIVRE kicked the pens, was unloaded and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. DAVID'S FLOWER was restless and reared in the pens, was unloaded and reloaded and thereafter lost 1 length. CHILL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. DELICIOUS DAMOWIN was hanging in over the final 250 metres. Jockey Delpech reported that BIG SI took no interest in running. KEEP YOUR LIGHT ON raced wide on the latter part of the bend and into the straight. Jockey Sturgeon and Trainer Egdes appeared before the Board with regard to KEEP YOUR LIGHT ON racing very wide on the latter part of the bend. Jockey Sturgeon explained that his instructions were to avoid the kick back as far as possible from the wide draw. Jockey Sturgeon stated that from the wide draw his mount had to be raced from behind, and had taken no interest in the early stages when encouraged. Approaching the 800 metre mark he felt that this gelding was resenting the kick back and as a result of this and the instructions given by Trainer Egdes he elected to race this gelding wide from that point onwards. Trainer Egdes and Jockey Sturgeon's explanations were noted. PROF TIGER raced fitted with a Cornell collar. Vet: BIG SI - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: COPPER'S PRIDE - Stipes permission. TOM IVORS - elevated temperature. POIVRE - kicked the pens; not striding out right hind.
