MYSTICAL TWILIGHT, which was restless in the stalls, jumped awkwardly outwards carried NORTHERN CORNER outwards, which resulted in DURBAN BEACH being carried outwards. Trainer Marshall will be advised to have MYSTICAL TWILIGHT re-schooled before its next engagement. In view of the performances from DURBAN BEACH and LEDBURY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings on their return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. NORTHERN CORNER was hanging in from the 300m and had to be straightened at the 200m. Jockey Marcus, the rider of TAR HEEL, was charged with a contravention in that he failed to ensure that the chin strap on his skull cap was securely and firmly fastened when mounted on a horse. Jockey Marcus signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. TAR HEEL and SHAMROCK SKIPPER were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: DURBAN BEACH and LEDBURY - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected.
