BEAUTIFUL JET and THRONE lost one length. SILVER INSPIRATION was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable employee Ellis was questioned with regard to the improved performance of SILVER INSPIRATION, compared to this filly's previous performance over 2000 metres. He explained that in his opinion, this filly may be better suited to the shorter distance of today's race, and has undertaken to racing this filly over distances similar to today's race in future. His explanation was noted and the future performances of SILVER INSPIRATION will be monitored. ROCK OF LAUDIUM over-raced in the early and middle stages. THRONE continuously baulked between the 350 and 300 metre marks. SILVER INSPIRATION and MILLENIUM REIGN made contact passing the 250 metre mark. In view of the performance of BELLA MIESQUE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Vet: THRONE - speedy cut both hind. PRIDE AND JOY - coughing. BELLA MIESQUE - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: WANING CRESCENT - colic.
