FOURTEEN was nervous in the stalls. KING'S FIRE was slow away and lost 2 lengths. CHESTNUT CHIEF kicked the back gate. NEWCREST was withdrawn intractable and all horses were unloaded to give the public time to restructure their bets and all runners reloaded into the stalls. In view of the Starter's report concerning NEWCREST, the starting stalls certificate is withdrawn and is to be recertified tractable in the starting stalls prior to racing again. Jockey Khathi reported STEVEDORE was not striding out freely in the running. RAVE KING shifted ground each way over the final 200 metres and shifted outwards abruptly passing the 50 metre mark which caused FOURTEEN to ease for several strides. Apprentice Moodley signed an Admission of Guilt for the contravention in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to FOURTEEN passing the 50 metre mark whilst riding RAVE KING. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. KINGS FIRE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: STEVEDORE - checked post race, nothing obvious detected. CHESTNUT CHIEF - speedy cut right hind fetlock. Scratched: NEWCREST - unruly, refused to load.
