PETER PIPER began rearing immediately before the start was effected and lost 3 lengths. RAINIER lost 1 length. VAR DU BOIS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. RAINIER raced wide over the first 500 metres. Jockey Marcus reported that TOP FORM was not striding out freely in running. A race review was called regarding the start of this race. After reviewing the patrol video of the start the Board was of the view that PETER PIPER was impeded by a Handler and as a result lost a significant distance leaving the starting stalls. PETER PIPER was declared a non-runner. BURWAAZ cast the right fore shoe near the 600 metre mark Jockey de Melo, the rider of PETER PIPER, appeared before the Board and was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out to the finish of races. PETER PIPER raced fitted with alumite bar shoes both fore. Vet: TOP FORM - not striding out right hind.
