Jockey Andrews did not ride in today's race meeting due to flight complications. Jockey Agrella did not ride in today's race meeting due to being medically indisposed. TRUE GOLD flyjumped into the running rail en route to the start, dislodged Jockey Khumalo and bolted. EXHALTED, THE WILD MISTRESS and RED VELVET LOUNGE were slow away and lost 1 to 2 lengths. SHIMMERING DREAM threw her head up at the start, was slow away and lost 5 lengths. Jockey Wright reported that CALICO refused to gallop. Jockey Zechner reported that MAIN ATTRACTION was changing stride in the running. THE WILD MISTRESS raced green. HAIZI'S DAIZY shifted inwards from the crop over the final 300 metres, carried BASEBALL HATTIE inwards onto EXHALTED, HAIZI'S DAIZY continued inwards and took up BASEBALL HATTIE running and forced BASEBALL HATTIE to be eased for a number of strides. The Stipendiary Board called for a race review into this incident which was followed by Jockey Fortune, the rider of BASEBALL HATTIE, placed 4th lodging an Objection against the 2nd placed horse, HAIZI'S DAIZY, on the grounds of interference. The Objection was upheld and the placings amended accordingly. An Inquiry will be opened into the riding of HAIZI'S DAIZY by Apprentice Moodley. MISNOMER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: CALICO - not striding out. MAIN ATTRACTION - checked post race, nothing obvious detected. Scratched: DUBOIS DESTINY - foot sore. TRUE GOLD - injured, withdrawn by the Course Veterinary Surgeon. Humanely Euthanased.
