The start of this race was delayed due to the Objection in the previous race. Apprentice Zackey was charged with a contravention in that he failed to proceed to the parade ring immediately after being instructed to do so by the Clerk of Scales. Apprentice Zackey signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. LUALA was awkwardly placed at approximately the 250m between CHRISTMAS CAROL and ESTIMATION, which was hanging in and shifted in. Jockey Zechner was charged with a contravention in that he, as the rider of ESTIMATION, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to LUALA at approximately the 250m. Jockey Zechner signed an Admission of Guilt and a penalty of a Warning was imposed. DOUBLE SPIN was hanging in over the final 300m. LAUREL CHERRY cast its left front shoe in running. CHRISTMAS CAROL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: LAUREL CHERRY - in season. LUALA - speedy cut both front.
