REGARDSTOBROADWAY jumped outwards making contact with LIZZIE'S LEGS, which resulted in REGARDSTOBROADWAY and LIZZIE'S LEGS losing one length. SWEET PAINTED LADY was slow into stride. REGARDSTOBROADWAY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the performances of ROYAL KAITRINA and LIZZIE'S LEGS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. BLACK VELVET was hanging in from approximately the 800 metre mark. BLACK VELVET shifted in at approximately the 500 metre mark, making contact with RESPECT AT BAY resulting in RESPECT AT BAY becoming cramped and ROYAL KAITRINA being carried in slightly behind runners. Jockey Veale, the rider of BLACK VELVET, appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to take stronger measures to keep his mounts on a straight course in future. LIZZIE'S LEGS raced with alumites in front, steel shoes behind. Vet: ROYAL KAITRINA - not striding out right fore. LIZZIE'S LEGS - nothing obvious detected.
