BEAUTIFUL DAWN and BODEGA were slow into stride. BANDSMAKEHERDANCE was hanging in throughout. Jockey Pretorius reported that BANDSMAKEHERDANCE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. Jockey Simons reported that he felt something amiss with SOUNDS OF TIGERS in running and did not persevere with his riding from the 400m. Apprentice Patel, the rider of CAMARA'S PARK, appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol films of the race and reminded of his obligations to ride his mounts out to the end of the race in future. SIENA'S STAR was hanging in from the 300m. In view of the performance of NARMADA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer Smith was requested to report back on the condition of this filly on return to stables. BODEGA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BEAUTIFUL DAWN raced with a tongue tie on. SOUNDS OF TIGERS raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind. Vet: BANDSMAKEHERDANCE, SOUNDS OF TIGERS and NARMADA - examined post race, no significant findings.
