BELONG TO ME broke open the front gate, was restrained after about 50m, was returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, declared fit to race and was reloaded. JUAN TWO THREE reared in the stalls. Trainer Drier will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled before its next engagement. TRIP TEASE reared and broke open the front gate, was subsequently withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. Trainer Goosen will be advised that this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and is to be repassed on a race day with company. The other runners were taken out to allow the betting public time to restructure their bets, causing a delay. DARING DAVE jumped awkwardly losing five lengths. Trainer Snaith will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled before its next engagement. ASSTAR was hanging out from the 400m. Jockey Lerena appeared before the Board and was spoken to regarding the use of his crop forward of the saddle. HARRY LIME was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
