The tongue tie on SAME JURISDICTION had to be refitted causing a delay. SAME JURISDICTION, which was stubborn loading, jumped awkwardly losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. Trainer Howells will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement. STAR EXPRESS was restless in the stalls. Trainer Snaith will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement. ACROSTAR (AUS) jumped awkwardly losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. BELA-BELA was hanging in over the final 300m. MA CHOIX (AUS) became tightened for galloping room at about the 1000m by INARA, which rolled in. Jockey van Niekerk appeared before the Board and was advised to give sufficient room to other runners in future. Jockey Marwing, the rider of SMART CALL, was charged with a contravention in that he saluted in a celebratory gesture prior to the finish line. Jockey Marwing signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. SMART CALL and INARA were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SAME JURISDICTION raced fitted with a tongue tie. Jockey Khathi rode STAR EXPRESS. This change was made in due time with Stewards permission and the mutual consent of all the connections. Vet: SAME JURISDICTION - returned with an overreach wound on the left fore. INARA - returned with a mouth injury. GALLICO ROSE - returned fatigued. CAT AND THE MOON - returned in mild post race distress.
