Jockey Mgudlwa did not ride at tonight's meeting (medically indisposed). Jockey Marcus did not ride at tonight's meeting (riding Turffontein). Jockey Yeni did not ride at tonight's meeting (riding Kenilworth). DEVON BLUE was difficult to load. DELILAH was slow into stride. AIRTIME was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Miller was questioned regarding the improved performance of AIRTIME compared to this filly's run on the 23.12.2015. Mr Miller explained that this filly had raced green on her debut run on the 23.12.2015 and that tonight was her first time racing on the polytrack and over a longer distance. He has undertaken to race this filly over similar distances in future. Mr Miller's explanation was noted. CHINESE WHISPER was hanging out throughout. Jockey Forbes reported that DELILAH took no interest in running. ITALIAN MISS (AUS) compounded in the straight. Jockey Delpech reported that he felt something amiss with ITALIAN MISS (AUS) and as a result did not persevere with his ride over the final 350 metres. SU-PA-SUTA, hanging out, shifted out and carried GORDON'S CUNGEE (AUS) and AIRTIME outwards approaching the 200 metre mark. Apprentice Ngwane, the rider of SU-PA-SUTA, appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and advised to take more care in future to prevent his mounts from shifting ground in races. Vet: DELILAH - not striding out left fore. ITALIAN MISS (AUS) - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: ZAGORA - lame right fore. LIZZIE'S CHAPEL - change of date.
