MARK MY CARD was slow into stride. QUEEN'S ADVANCE and MISSMASALA lost one length. LADY MING flyjumped losing two lengths. MARK MY CARD and BROWN SUGAR were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Delpech, the rider of CALL ME MAYBE, and Jockey Lembethe, the rider of MISSMASALA, reported that their respective mounts were not striding out freely in running. Jockey Jupp reported that SUREFIRE was not striding out freely in the latter stages. LITTLEBLACKNUMBER shifted out abruptly near the 200 metre mark, resulting in CHENNAI BABE having to be eased and switch in. An Objection was lodged by Assistant Trainer Steyn, acting for Trainer Tarry, on behalf of the fourth placed horse, CHENNAI BABE, against the third placed horse, LITTLEBLACKNUMBER, on the grounds on interference in the latter stages. After considering the evidence, the Board was of the opinion that, but for the interference, CHENNAI BABE would have beaten LITTLEBLACKNUMBER and therefore upheld the Objection. The Judge's result was amended and the deposit refunded. QUEEN'S ADVANCE was eased off the heels of LADY MING near the 900 metre mark. Vet: CALL ME MAYBE and MISSMASALA - nothing obvious detected. SUREFIRE - not striding out left hind.
