QUEEN'S CREST was difficult and stubborn to load. Trainer Bulana advised to re-school this filly. BABY IN BLACK, FORBIDDEN DUEL and SILVER SOLITUDE were all slow into stride. QUEEN'S CREST and ENTICER both lost 1 length. CAMOMILE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Ntuli reported that BABY IN BLACK did not act in the prevailing soft underfoot track conditions. Apprentice Mxothwa reported that he felt something amiss with DING DING in the latter stages. SILVER SOLITUDE raced green. LA CARMELITA, racing green, shifted out slightly near the 150 metre mark, resulting in ENTICER shifting out making contact with ILLUSIONATION, who in turn made contact with SILVER SOLITUDE. In view of the performance of FORBIDDEN DUEL, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Apprentice Storey, the rider of QUEEN'S CREST, appeared before the Board with regard to his use of the crop in the latter stages. Jockey Lembethe signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention in that, as the rider of DON'TSTOPTHEPARTY, he used his crop in an unnecessary manner with excessive frequency in the closing stages. Vet: DING DING - Azoturia. FORBIDDEN DUEL - nothing obvious detected. SILVER SOLITUDE - Epistaxis, 60 day suspension. Scratched: SARAABA (AUS) - bruised right fore foot.
