KING'S AFFAIR, AUTHORICE and MR PRESIDENT all lost 1 length. ROMAN SOCIETY and REBEL RAIN were both slow into stride. ALDRIC was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Ngcobo, the rider of FRISKET, Apprentice Ngwane, the rider of THUNDER RUN, Jockey Veale, the rider of CHAPEL QUEEN, and Jockey Lembethe, the rider of STAMPEDE, reported that their respective mounts did not act in the prevailing soft underfoot track conditions. Apprentice Ngwane signed an Admission of Guilt and was given a Warning for a contravention in that as the rider of THUNDER RUN he rode this gelding in an unprofessional manner by accidentally dropping his crop at approximately the 250 metre mark. THRESHOLD switched out for a clear run at approximately the 100 metre mark. Jockey Jupp reported that MR PRESIDENT took no interest in running. Vet: AUTHORICE - abnormal respiratory noise. MR PRESIDENT - not striding out left hind. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
