KISS ME HARDY and GUILTY AS CHARGED were slow into stride. FOURTH ESTATE and NITRO NORI lost one length. GUILTY AS CHARGED was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Lembethe signed an Admission of Guilt for a Warning for a contravention in that, as the rider of SOVEREIGN REIGN, he rode this gelding in an unprofessional manner by accidentally dropping his right side rein at approximately the 150 metre mark. ROY'S AIR FORCE was pulling hard in the early and middle stages. Jockey Marcus reported that he felt something amiss with MASTER ARCHER at the pull up. NITRO NORI was pulling hard in the early stages, which resulted in this gelding compounding in the straight. The Medical Officer reported that Jockey de Melo stood down after the running of this Race with dehydration. Vet: MASTER ARCHER - nothing obvious detected. NITRO NORI - not striding out left hind. GUILTY AS CHARGED - speedy cut left fore.
