GREATEST HITS was nervous in the stalls, kicked the back gates. WESTERN WU, IMPRESSIONIST and THE STONES were slow away and lost 1 length each. Jockey Khathi reported that BURNT ORANGE was not striding out freely in the running. Jockey Minnie reported that HASSEN'S BID was not striding out freely in the running. SILVER IMAGE raced wide on the turn and was hanging inwards from the 400 metre mark. BORDERED IN GREY pulled hard in the early stages. Jockey Munger reported that he felt something amiss with WOW HOLIDAY (ARG) in the running. WESTERN WU brushed the inside running rail passing the 1200 metre mark. Approaching the 400 metre mark WESTERN WU switched inwards for a run between OREO and SPECTACULAR JET, WESTERN WU and OREO brushed. Jockey Rispoli signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that he rode the horse WESTERN WU in an unprofessional manner by dropping his crop passing the 150 metre mark. He was given a Warning. WESTERN WU was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: THE STONES - short left hind. BURNT ORANGE - short in front, abnormal respiratory noise. GREATEST HITS - speedy cut right fore fetlock. HASSEN'S BID - abnormal respiratory noise. NETHERBY HALL - speedy cut left hind fetlock lateral. WOW HOLIDAY - checked post race, nothing obvious detected. Scratched: IMPERIAL VELVET - no suitable jockey. The Course Farrier on duty reported that the shoes of all the runners engaged at today's race meeting were checked and confirmed with the rules. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
