There was a delay to the start of the 8th Race due to the previous delays. FLORAL SECRET was slow into stride. ETHYLENE lost 2 lengths. BOLD APPROACH flyjumped leaving the stalls losing 1 length. PEACE AGAIN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BOLD APPROACH shifted in approaching the 900 metre mark, resulting in HANNAH'S ANSWER having to check off the heels of BOLD APPROACH along the inside running rail. Apprentice Ngwane signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that, as the rider of BOLD APPROACH, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to HANNAH'S ANSWER at approximately the 900 metre mark. Jockey Forbes reported that he felt something amiss with SYRINGA in running. In view of the performance of BOLD APPROACH, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. ROYAL KAITRINA was pulling hard in the early and middle stages. Vet: SYRINGA and BOLD APPROACH - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: PSALM - abscess right fore. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at tonight's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at tonight's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
